Hyphens can be useful, but there are times when too many of them just make your text look messy. This can happen when a style is applied in your Microsoft Word document that automatically hyphenates your paragraphs.

In this short tutorial we show you how to get rid of those pesky hyphens and gain control of them within your style. We have chosen to show you how to do this with a style called TT-Normal which is one that is used when documents and quick reference guides are automatically produced from TT Knowledge Force, but the technique applies across all styles. Of course, if you reverse it – then it also shows you how to turn hyphenation on within a style.
